carolinerose80 's review for:
Fahrenheit 451
by Ray Bradbury
This book was complex with a deep meaning of the importance of free press. I was lost at numerous points in the book, since I often don't read science fiction. However, I wouldn't necessarily label this just as a science fiction book due to the subject. It made me ponder and actually look words up in the dictionary. It scares me to think individuals want to withhold information for the good. This book would be a great discussion in a classroom, but make sure the book is the original and not the edited version. If a classroom doesn't use the original version then what's the point of reading a book about censorship if the book itself has been censored?
