The Grownup
by Gillian Flynn
dark
mysterious
Too everyones huge surprise - especially mine!- i actually enjoyed this!
I read two other Flynn books and wanted to rip the books apart because they just weren't for me at all.
I only decided to give this short story a read because i saw it for free and it isn't as highly rated as her actual books!
Which after reading it, i really don't get!
This was so much better then her actual books!
Still completely crazy characters -as apparently is her go to!- and just as open an ending (I mean can a book end more on the "what the heck is going to happen now????") as always by her but the story was fast paced and thrilling and really kept me reading.
Now if that is because it is a short little thing and everything that was said and done has to happen fast and quickly after one another or if it was just perfectly timed and written or if i was simply in the right mood? Not sure!
But if you want a nice thriller story where you have no idea what the heck is going on and it is completely left open to where the story ending is heading? PICK IT THIS UP!
