Four Days of You and Me
by Miranda Kenneally
*2.5
(Originally a 3 stars but since been knocked down to 2.5)
So [a: Miranda Kenneally|4506073|Miranda Kenneally|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1466965428p2/4506073.jpg] was one of my favorite authors when I was younger! I read all of her sports romance books, and the one about a band, and well, every one actually. I was obsessed, especially with [b: Catching Jordan|9888775|Catching Jordan|Miranda Kenneally|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1327875803l/9888775._SY75_.jpg|14780777] which is probably still one of my favorites books of all time (depending on if I reread it is a whole different story. But anyways, damn I loved her stuff. In fact I still own all of those books, stored somewhere on top of one of my closets. So when I heard she was coming out with another book, I fucking screamed! I was pumped in fact. But I just didn't really like it unfortunately. *sobs in childhood faves*
The first hundred pages of this book was very enjoyable actually, I thought it would be getting a 4 or even 5 stars. I found myself laughing at the humor, and the banter with Alex's best friend (what was his name? Ryan?). Anyways, I liked it. It had a lot going for it. But I couldn't actually care about anything else after the 100 page mark.
I was bored, and everything I was reading felt...dry? Our main character Lulu just didn't have many dimensions. She felt pretty 1 based, and Alex was a simp, but I couldn't really find myself to care.
The premise was cool actually, and that's why it's getting a 2.5, but I just didn't like the execution. I will always read anything this author puts out though because, ugh I loved this woman when I was younger! Especially the sports romances. And [b: Jesse's Girl|16045315|Jesse's Girl (Hundred Oaks)|Miranda Kenneally|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1480103127l/16045315._SX50_.jpg|24755972]. God those were good. Ok I'm done
