When I was at the library fiending for some good picture book reads, I stumbled upon Jon Agee. I pulled one book off the shelf; the cover made me laugh out loud. Another book; same reaction. I ended up bringing all of the available Agee books home with me.

The silliness of It’s Only Stanley did not let me down. Once the family is sleeping, Stanley gets up to some weird hijinks- and when he wakes up the kids, no one is particularly surprised to find him...fixing the oil tank, for example.

A little repetitive, and the rhyming seems a bit unnecessary, but the illustrations are just so fun.
