The Playdate

Really enjoyed this book! It took me about three attempts to get going with it as things kept getting in the way but with a few long train journeys to endure, I'm so glad I got the time to devour this one!
It's a great plot and I really like the change in point of view throughout between Callie, Suzy and Deb. The only thing that irritated me was that the book was FULL of cliffhangers where it switched characters. This meant that certain elements of the book felt a little slow for me but in turn also kept me really engaged.
I seem to have moved on from your typical chick lit rom-com kind of books, but sometimes find the dramas a bit morbid and a heavy going. This still had an element of that sweetness to it that made it so easy to continue reading.
Some of it was a bit far-fetched but so what - it's just fiction! If I wanted reality drama I'd read a bio!
This ones a big thumbs up from me :)
