I read the 'little red riding hood' retelling from this series yesterday and rated it the same. I really wanted to like them but they just feel like they fall a little flat for me.
They have good clear messages, and I like the concept, but the stories themselves feel lacking. I would probably have them in my book corner, but I'm not sure they'd be lesson material.
