Stories of Your Life and Others
by Ted Chiang
Chiang’s writing is always based in science and technical detail, which helps build the future and alternative historical worlds of the stories. This was his first full collection published as a book, and while there were some great stories, others got a little lost in those details which made them less enjoyable narratives and more interesting as explorations of ethics and morals around technology. Worth the read, but I think his more recent Exhalations was a better set of stories.
