As with the first in the series, I was instantly riveted! I find it difficult to put these books down.

Todd and Viola are still in the midst of a war they were not prepared for. They must choose sides and determine where their loyalties lie, all while trying to find each other and assure their safety. It's difficult to know who to trust in this world and what to believe. I found myself frustrated on more than one occasion and even slamming my book down as I got angry with certain characters.

At the end, we have yet another cliff hanger of sorts. Be prepared for that and have Monsters of Men (which I am currently reading) handy to pick up when you finish.

This series is a wonderfully unique story in the dystopian genre that is sure to capture both teens and adults and keep them wanting more.
