Wild Dark Shore
by Charlotte McConaghy
Wild Dark Shore is a compelling, character focused climate change novel that is told from numerous perspectives of people living on and associated with Shearwater, a small island that is home to an incredibly important seed bank.
This is a story about isolation, dysfunctional relationships, and how women are judged for the decision not to become mothers. I felt that climate change was less a focus of this novel that past books by McConaghy, so this might appeal to you if you are looking for a balanced, compelling literary fiction novel.
The audiobook was read by a full cast and exceptionally well produced. I recommend that format if you enjoy audiobooks.
