ooooh this was FUN!!! i am so happy to be stumbling into all these secret service, fbi, cop, action-who-dunnit books! and m/m!!!! oh it is a good time to be me, that's for sure.

enemies of the state has the absolute classic of bodyguard/protectee made all the better for the fact that the protectee is POTUS and they're both men. i was honestly not expecting the pining and tbh i also thought the book had reached the ending about three times before it was actually finished, but it had action, it had pining, it had goof, it had sexy moments, it's all i could've wanted for such a genre and i throughly recommend this read for anyone wanting a fun read. oh, and i did shed a tear or two so that bumped this from four to five stars read on my charts.

i mean, it's not that deep, and it wasn't hard to figure out who the bad guy was, even if it was also easy to pull up a couple of other suspects and also this book could've benefitted from a teensy more of editorial work, but alas! in this household we like having fun reading and that's what matters most!

president jack was sweet and goofy and agent ethan was also sweet! but also badass and cool. i'm always so up for it to read romances with mature people, so that is also a huge plus.

if you're wondering if you should, i recommend you give this book a go, if only because it reads like a blockbuster movie and yes, i mean that as a compliment, but take that as you will. it's a pretty good way to pass time at the very least, lol.
