โ€œNobody gets through life without being an asshole...Once in a while you're going to dig in over something and get it wrong and make a scratch on the world you'll never polish off. Those scratches will define you more than anything else.โ€

Nolan Moore, think Indiana Jones meets the X-Files, along with a crew attempt to retrace the steps an early explore took to find a mysterious cavern they claimed to have found high up in the Grand Canyon. But things take nasty turn and they get more than they bargained for once the ball starts rolling.

This book was almost a favourite for meโ€ฆ ALMOST.  The plot and story was so fun and really this is the kind of thriller I truly enjoy.

The one issue? The language used in the book for Indigenous people was a little off putting for me.
I could get past the use of โ€œNative Americansโ€ but seriously. RED SKINNED? We can do better, granted it was only mentioned a couple times but it really wasnโ€™t necessary for the plot.
