2023 update:
I figured out what felt off and this one stays at a 4.5/5 stars. The whole bit with Aurora and Kal and the Echo just felt off to me while reading this one. It definitely slowed me down this time through. Otherwise I very much enjoyed this book again!

Holy cliffhanger..... that was just not a fair way to end this book knowing that they’re making us wait another year before the next one comes out!
All in all I really enjoyed this book although not quite as much as the first one. I can’t quite put my finger on what it was this time around but something about the book just felt off at times. Otherwise I thought it was a great continuation of the series and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
