Chain of Iron
by Cassandra Clare
There is a serial killer on the loose in London. Someone is killing Shadowhunters and taking their runes off of the body. Will James, Cordelia, Lucie, Thomas, Matthew, Christopher, Grace, and Anna find out who the killer is? Also, James and Cordelia get married, but are only in the marriage for a year since James compromised Cordelia. Will their marriage eventually turn into a real marriage? Lucie wants to raise Jesse’s body so she can be with him. Will she succeed?
Okay, here is some truth time. I didn’t like Chain of Gold. I may not have liked it on its own or it was because I just came from reading Crescent City, so it could have tainted how I felt. I would be curious how I would like it now if I reread it. Anyway, with the release of Chain of Iron, I was originally just going to get it from the library since I was not a fan of Chain of Gold. However, I kept seeing people post Chain of Iron on Facebook and Instagram, so I caved and bought it. I’m so glad I bought it because I absolutely loved it! I loved the friendships. I ship Cordelia and James so freaking bad. I loved all the point of views. The action scenes were great. This book didn’t have much action, but I still enjoyed it. I didn’t want to put this book down. Loved it!
