Just finished it and I love it. It was definitely a change of pace from the dark and heavy stuff I have been reading. There is a lot of funny and unexpected moments and the big reveal at the end was not what I was expecting, in the best way.
The four horsemen are tasked by Lucifer to bring his daughter back to Hell, in order to pay off their debt to him. Con, Fame, D and War, also known as Conquest, Famine, Death and War (who tells people his parents were hippies who thought naming their kid war would end all wars). The one big issue is that she really doesn’t want to go back. They each take a turn to try and get her back to Hell through a portal starting with Con then War, Fame and finally D.
War is probably my favourite of the guys, he is the ultimate himbo, love sick puppy.
A few other points I love about this book: She calls God Pop pop. Most of the 7 princes of Hell are like her older brothers. Her assistant got the job because of a deal to cure her mothers cancer, and the job pays more than enough to easily cover all costs for her family. She is a badass. The guys all have backstory. Lucifer is given a POV later in the book.
