I finally picked up Jurassic Park to read after years of loving all of the movies and the book lives up to the expectations that I had gotten from the movies. If anything, it's even more thrilling than I expected. The way Michael Crichton writes not only the conversational portions, but also the action parts of the story makes it easy to get hooked in. I think that this book is perfect for 12 years and above due to some of the graphic attack scenes. It's a quick read and will get you dreaming that you're on Isla Nublar the first night after reading it.
