It was fun to revisit the story from a new perspective. I think my biggest complaint is that the purpose of this book was to reject gender norms... but it honestly just reinforces them?? All the times that Bella cries in the book is changed, descriptions and other phrases are changed. The majority of the text is word for word the same except for character names and pronouns which honestly is more jarring than anything as my brain kept autofilling the original name. The last 50 pages make it worth the read (and are a great highlight reel of the series) as it explores what could have happened in Twilight which I found interesting.

Overall, glad to have read it. If you like twilight you’ll enjoy it. But I probably won’t revisit it on re-reads of the series.

Also, major shoutout for our girl Bella who went through her change without making any noise in order to protect Edward meanwhile Beau screamed the whole time even though he could hear Edythe being thoroughly distraught.
