Oathbound by Tracy Deonn

I guess I just assumed this was a trilogy, meaning this book would offer answers and endings instead of only more questions, so that disappointment is likely due only to my own misplaced expectations. Still, while I did find sections of this book engaging, this installment in the series did not grip me the way the first two did. The multiple narrator technique was disjointed in my opinion; maybe I wouldn't have minded if that had been established earlier? Many plot points felt dragged out and/or thrown in, to me. I was really interested in seeing Sel's mom on the page rather than only a plot device, yet her character still felt somewhat stale or convenient rather than well-rounded. Nick and Bree's dynamic was super fun to see, especially in the auction space. As to the twin representation, it didn't anger me but never super rang true, either. Zoe was a way more fleshed out character than her brother, too.
