Behind the Stick

I LOVE Gavin and Lauren.
Lauren is a bookworm, she tends to lose herself in a book. Her love of books cost her relationship. Her friends, however, don’t want her to hide in her shell so they insist she goes out. Of course, like any bookworm Lauren manages to bring her book to a bar of all places.
Gavin has also felt like he is living in the shadow of his twin brother Ashton. He has too much pride to ask his brother for money to help cover his bar renovations that has turned out to be a bigger problem than he originally anticipated.
Gavin and Lauren are perfect for each other. There is an instant attraction and they really helped each other grow throughout the story. Gavin was able to help open her eyes to the world outside of books, but still let her get lost in those worlds. Lauren was able to help Gavin and his bar and the relationship with his brother. She was supportive of everything he did.
I love that we get more of all the previous couples, especially loved more of Lily May. She was definitely key in helping both Lauren and Gavin. I’m sad to say goodbye to all these characters because I truly enjoyed each and every one of them.
