I think I would have enjoyed this more if I hadn't already watched the series. This basically retells the first season of Carmilla without adding anything to it, which was a little disappointing for me. I think it will be for fans of the series as well.
I also don't remember LaFontaine being misgendered quite so often in the show, which bothered me a lot.
