What did I just read??? I hate to say this but this book was terrible. The cover is so incredibly misleading, the main character -Everly/Daisy- was so unlikeable, and the entire story was so far fetched. Why did she go to the Amazon? Why is there a dog/sleigh/snow on the cover of this book? How did they fall in love in two weeks (when she was deathly ill for one of those weeks)? Why did she have two names? (I kind of know the answer to that, the book said she wanted a more professional sounding name than Daisy.....and she went with Everly????) What did Asher like about her? I still don't know the answers to any of these questions.

All I wanted was a quick cozy Christmas read and instead I got this.....

Perhaps I'm outgrowing Macomber books. The characters fell in love way too quickly it just seemed so unrealistic. They also seemed very old fashioned and prude. There was a dash of fat shaming towards the end as well.

I'm sorry to say this was NOT the book for me.
