The Burning God

maybe the previous books were too good, maybe i was getting tired of the story after so many pages, but what i feel towards this conclusion is disappointment. it's not that i disliked, but it didn't leave the same impression as it did before. rin seemed too childish even though now she's way older than in the first book; we had few to none nezha (i can't get over the fact that he doesn't have his own pov. we lost so much because of that) and well, i am aware rin is the main character but this book made that too much, imo. and last, the way the war "ended" was so...? maybe my expectations were too high. the shamans? whatever that was. some specific characters ending that i won't name it but ???? THE TRIFECTA????? felt disrespectful.
in conclusion: it feels like she was lazy to finish the characters plots. like things didn't follow the path that it was supposed to, not because of a plot twist but because it didn't make sense. a lot felt dragged and reviewing the full plot i believe it could've been shortened, or focused on different things that got left out. LMAO I DIDN'T WANT TO SOUND SO CRITICAL AND ALL but it was a long road and a lot of feelings to put out there. and the more i think the more irritated i feel.
HOWEVER, i do love the characters and i wish we had more than rin's pov, specially kitay's. i will keep them in my heart.
