Ruth Ware's latest novel I've read, "The Death of Mrs. Westaway," fails to capture the same intrigue and excitement I've found in her previous works. While "The Woman in Cabin 10" and "The Lying Game" had me eagerly turning pages, this latest installment left me feeling disappointed.

The story starts off sluggishly, weighed down by excessive descriptions of tarot readings that add little to the plot. Despite my own interest in tarot, I found this aspect of the story pointless and boring. As the narrative progresses, it becomes evident that the plot is riddled with predictability, with every twist and turn foreseeable from miles away.

Furthermore, I've noticed some continuity errors that were disrupting the flow of the story. Certain parts don't make sense, serving as mere plot devices rather than contributing meaningfully to the narrative. One particularly glaring example is a scene involving a family picture, where the protagonist confuses two characters who bear little physical resemblance to each other.

Overall, "The Death of Mrs. Westaway" fails to deliver the gripping storytelling and suspense that Ruth Ware is known for. While her previous novels kept me on the edge of my seat, this one left me with a lukewarm impression.
