I didn't go into this book with a lot of expectations. Usually, I don't like stories that take place on one day and one place because I tend to get bored with the story quite easy.

At the beginning I didn't feel like that. I was interested to find out what Darby is going to do with the knowledge she discovers. But it was revealed quite early on who the kidnapper was which kind of took the thrill away for me. Mainly that was due to the fact that I just didn't really care much about the characters.

Overall I think this story was not the kind of thriller that fits my taste. But I did still want to know how it ended, so I guess I did enjoy it a little. That's also my reasoning for giving it three stars. The ending itself did surprise me but also confused me a little because of the sudden change in the writing style on the last few pages.
