What a great book to read going into Halloween.

This novella is written in short chapters by several authors told in the voices of 2 main characters, Beatrix and James. There is plenty of suspense, horror and a little bit of romance. Each chapter is an "episode" The way it was written, you could see it set up as episodes in a TV series.
For the most part, the blending of the story between different authors was really well done. In fact, several times I had to go back to see which author was writing the current episode. Not clunky at all, except for one chapter-- the heavy romance one seemed somewhat out of line with the rest of the story. I found one timeline discrepancy, that I feel impacted the story, but only mildly.
