Entertaining read, however, i didn't think it was as good as the first instalment, Fourth Wing.
The themes of the book were much darker than Fourth Wing, but I felt that the storyline was a natural extension and is a good build-up to book number 3.
The ending was really sad for me, and I am really eager to find out what happens with Xaden.
Xaden felt a little more flat in this story than in Fourth Wing, but it didn't detract that much from the story as he wasn't as prominent for the most part.
Plot 4/5
