There is a lot that I enjoyed with this story. Set in the 70s during summer camp, Barbara goes missing who is the daughter of the camp grounds family - Van Laar's. The investigation brings up all sorts of suspects and motivations. 

The story is also told about 15 years earlier with the disappearance of Bear, Barbara's brother. I enjoyed both timeline and was curious what happened to both of them. 

I did have a hard time following the story with the multiple timeline and so many perspectives. The story is very slow burn and lost my interest at parts. Saskia Maarleveld did a great job setting the darkness of the camp.
