A charming little book. The Ocean and its creatures are larger than life and the staring characters in the book. The book reminded me strongly of why I once wanted to be a Marine Biologist and this version has a little picture of a different sea creature at the beginning of each chapter.

The coming of age of a young bookish nerd with only one real friend, a teenage crush and a shared avid interest in all things sexual is sweet. Unfortunately the ending is rather abrupt, flat and just plain disappointing.

However who cannot like a story that celebrates the mysteries of the natural world so well.
