This was not an easy read by any means, but so unique to me that I enjoyed the whole thing. The Brahman culture in India at the turn of the last century was a very unfamiliar milieu to me. And since it was not written by a contemporary person interpreting it for the modern reader, but actually during the time, it retained a lot that seemed strange and odd to me. I feel like I got a glimpse into a very different world.
