Memoirs of a Geisha is a rich, layered story with unique, emphatic metaphors and grey characters. I really enjoyed this one. The first 90% of the book was a nice, slow burn. I loved following Sayuri and her story. The ending of the book left me a bit unsatisfied, but it did not take away from my enjoyment of the book.
