Robin's Song
by P. Neko Meicholas, Patricia Glinton-Meicholas
hopeful
inspiring
lighthearted
reflective
relaxing
fast-paced
Robin's Song was split up into different topics and I loved some of the sections more than others. Robin's Song is the first book poetry book of Glinton-Meicholas that I've read, and it was decently enjoyable. Some of the poetry was a no for me but others hit differently. The rhythmic style she has was not suited for every poem and I do not like when poetry has a basic moral (it seems kind of childish to me). Some of the poems reminded me of home with words or imagery they would conjure up and that made Robin's Song distinctly Bahamian for me.
