A Mew To A Kill
by Leighann Dobbs
I do love this series, but I'm getting exceedingly tired of all these magic things happen and Willa being like "HUH SO WEIRD LETS IGNORE THAT AND GO ON" then proceeds to almost get killed by the killer and is saved by more magic which she then still ignores. Plus, Pandora getting annoyed by sympathy humans show one another and care that they show one another is actually so irritating. I get she's a cat, but the fact that Willa got hit by a literal car and her response was "it's annoying that striker keeps almost crying in this 5 minute time span after it happened" was extremely off putting. Other than that, I was half surprised by the killer as there were many suspects along the way, but I also skimmed a bit of it because it was too long and the text in my copy of the book was odd. It was normal typing then words w o u l d b e s p a c e d o u t l i k e t his for no reason.
Also, why are Willl and Striker described as "on again off again"? I know they are not honest with each other, which is also really tiring, but they are only seeing one another. Their whole relationship feels like they should just be friends with how they put their relationship off rather than an actual romance of any kind.
I'm sad this book just doesn't have the character development Willa needs to make this series continuously interesting past the second book so far. I'll read the next two and hopefully they get better.
