Read this last year and did my best to forget everything about it. The heroine is hurt over and over and over, past the point where it serves a purpose and into "A Little Life" levels of suffering. Frustration and pain far outweighed any relief or happiness after Turtle emancipates herself. and for that this book gets a massive thumbs down from me.
