This started so strong and witty but it took such a weird turn. I didn’t feel any chemistry between the characters and the lack of communication was so severe it just felt like mutual gaslighting which made this very difficult for me to enjoy.

The plot also took some really weird turns, like…so ridiculous. I ended up skimming the last 80 or so pages bc I just could not handle this one or get into it.

I own the entire series and i know it’s one of those series where each book focuses on different characters, so I will most likely give book 2 a try and hope that it was just the characters that didn’t work for me on this one?
