bookbeforeuleap 's review for:
The Thursday Murder Club
by Richard Osman
I had high hopes going into this one as I absolutely love an older character in a book and this one has a whole club of them! It did not disappoint at all and may be in my top 20 of 2020.
The book is written from multiple perspectives which gave us, as the reader, more information but also kept us on our toes with guessing 'who dunnit'. I really enjoyed how witty the elderly characters were and how they easily manipulated the police officer who thought he knew exactly what was going on. I though all the characters where well thought out and developed, I wouldn't be able to chose a favourite as they each brought something different. The plot had enough happening to keep you turning the pages for more and there were a lot of serious issues touched upon.
I have heard that this is the start of a series and I really hope that is true as I definitely need more from the TMC!
