I had to stop listening to the audiobook version once Telemain (sp?) appeared because the voice that the man does for him is like nails on a chalkboard. The character of "Gypsy Jack" is so racist and problematic that I am not going to read any more, even in a different format.
Furthermore, The tension of the story fizzled out after the main characters met and pretty much immediately liked each other anyway. Everything is quite predictable now and very problematic in the way of old books.
