I adored this book! I was quite honestly over this author and the Allie Beckstrom series (while I loved the first few, eh after). I decided to give this a chance. I loved the world that she builds in this book. The characters are believable (even when they are two-headed) and very "human". While I was annoyed with Matilda going out for coffee just as she found a safe haven, well, what horror movie plot hasn't gone there and I still watch those. The isn't much romance here so if that's what you read for, skip it. The ending was irritating...only in that I didn't want it to end there! I've already added the second to my list of wants. If you want a world you can vividly picture and get lost in, try House Immortal.
