The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
by Mark Haddon
This is not an easy book to read. The main character is autistic, and his narration is frustrating, exhausting, and oblivious. There are no good people in this book, and that makes it even harder to read. It is a honest and detailed exploration of the way Christopher's brain works, and it is interesting as an informational piece. But I would expect a book like this to have substance, something that would make me take it to book club and dissect it--but it is a hollow book that I've now read twice and will likely entirely forget anyway.
