This story was SO GOOD. I kinda wanna keyboard smash about it.

Fairy bargains, goblin markets, set in an alternative history of London where Queen Elizabeth I made a treaty with Titania the Fairy Queen and the two worlds have sort of merged.

The stakes are high in this romance urban fantasy thriller. Deri and Owain, two of the main character are indentured servants to cruel and untouchable mystrers and mistresses. Deri serves Merchant Maurlocke and Owain Missus Graspar who runs an exploitative workhouse on the backs of enslaved children. A chance meeting brings them together and as they try to create futures for themselves in a world set against them, the entirely of London's future hangs in the balance as a royal destiny comes up for sale in the Untermarkt, the Goblin Market.

The writing is excellent, the characters are so well done and fully realized. The magic systems and fairy laws are creative and fresh. And I love an overthrowing corrupt systems story any way I can get it! Don't sleep on this one!
