Phew 😮💨 this might be Ali Hazelwood’s spiciest book to date? I really enjoy her writing, I always do, but I have to admit that this was a bit too much for me. It’s not that I have a problem with the amount of spice. It was about 50% of the book I think, which is a LOT, but I do understand the purpose it serves in the story. I enjoy a good spicy scene, I just wasn’t a big fan of the dirty talk in this book. It’s just not my preference. But for the people who do like it, this one will definitely be a treat! 🙊
Really appreciated Rue’s character arc and how Eli helps her realise it’s okay to just be yourself.
Really appreciated the Check & Mate reference btw! (still my fav Ali Hazelwood 🫶🏼)
