Book two in the Nightwolves series is full of surprises. Cat and her crew are sent to Japan to investigate a portal that has opened. When they cross through they find the first group of "others" that isn't intent on ruling/destroying our world. Kla'din is a strange and beautiful desert world very reminiscent of ancient Egypt with a group of rules intent on having Cat as their mate. Well, since she already has three - that may pose quite the problem.

The human bad guys are amping up their efforts as well and causing all sorts of trouble for Cat. This edition of The Nightwolves series was a little more a romance than the first, with the addition of the Kla'din portal and that land's people.
