If you want morally-grey sapphic characters that try to climb their way out of ash and ruin through their individual strengths/weaknesses this is the read for you!!

This was such a great start to a series and I’m definitely going to be reading the rest. First off, the waterfall scene??? *chefs kiss*. The slow-burn, rivals/enemies to lovers tension was there. The political intrigue, magic systems, and faith of Parijatdvipa and Ahiranya are so interesting that I want to see whats going to happen in the next book! The only set back is that it took nearly half the book to build up to this moment. But I enjoyed it enough to finish and want to continue reading the series. Another book where it hurt me, gave me morally grey characters and that slow burn tension - I live for it. ✨
