Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster
by Jon Krakauer
I am not a big non-fiction reader. However, this was recommended on a Podcast I listen to. Interested, I check it out from the library.
The author, though using a lot of information, wrote in a way that made the story easy to follow. We all knew what was going to happen, but I still felt anxiety as their trek up Mt. Everest continued.
Though it is debated whether he should have written the book or not is a completely different issue. I could never imagine what the victims or the survivors went through, though this book gives you insight on what happened during that devastating season of climbing Everest.
