I liked how personal and inside Griffin's head this was, but I ultimately did not get much out of it and failed to connect to the characters on the level that I wanted to. There is nothing inherently wrong with History is All You Left Me, I just think it could have been better with more effective character development, especially Griffin's relationship with Wade, which was ignored for most of the book. I did like this enough to give Adam Silvera another try since his other books have more of a creative sci-fi element that might make them more interesting to me.
