I Like to Watch: Arguing My Way Through the TV Revolution
by Emily Nussbaum
This is an excellent review of TV and culture, but to me, the standout essay is "Confessions of a Human Shield," which examines how we approach the work of problematic people, particularly men. I know that I find it easy to not pay attention to the work of most problematic actors, but letting go of Michael Jackson and David Bowie? Much harder. Highly recommended.
