Beneath a Scarlet Sky is based on a true story of Pino Lella. The heroism, the bravery, and above all the moral righteousness that Pino and his family had exhibited is absolutely amazing. This book is based in Italia during the invasion of the Germans and how Pino aids the Jews at first by helping them escape to neutral territory through dangerous terrain but also then becoming a spy.
