Ohhhh I really enjoyed this! My students recommended it to me, and I decided to give it a go so that we could discuss the series together, and I am so glad that I did. The premise, plot, and setting were very interesting, and since I haven't read much sci-fi, it hooked me fairly quickly! The author built a world that seemed so familiar and yet so far at the same time, and added characters that could be found here and there - filled with flaws. 

I've heard mixed reviews about the next book in the series, so I'm eager to read it myself and set up my own opinion on the matter.
