I picked up this book because I thought it storyline seemed unique and different and unlike something I would have read before. However I found this book to be disappointing, while it had one of the most amazing opening scenes and some vivid descriptions, this book was just odd. Like I knew it was going to be strange but it was just odd. I wished the book focused more on dewi ayu and beauty her last daughter and less on her 3 other daughters and the backstories of each of their husbands. Like I understood their relevance to the plot but it was quite irksome every time it cut to the life story of yet ANOTHER character , it took away from the central point in this book. Also there was far too much rape in this book , it was almost trivialized I felt.
