When I started this book, I was a little lost because I thought the time line progression would be linear from the first book. This goes back to Andrea's start of her career. The book is told in 2 timelines and really centers on Emily's death. The story started strong and drag a bit in the middle. The last 15% of the book was intense and totally redeemed the book.
