It's been a pretty long time since I read the first two books in this series, but I was delighted by how easy it was for me to jump right back into the story. I was also pleasantly surprised at how much more I liked this volume than the previous in the series.

There is a lot of action in the story and we get to meet even more Peculiars and other different types of people throughout the travels they must embark upon to find their friends. I love the relationship that seems to be growing steadily between Jacob and Emma and now that I know there is more to the series, I'm actually quite excited to see where that relationship might go.

I was pretty angry at how the ending was turning out, but it ended up being ok and leaving the door open for what I now know to be the rest of the series. I truly went into this book thinking it was the last in the series... oops!
