Oona Out of Order follows Oona, an 18 going on 19 year old set to play a set with her band, when all of sudden she is thrust into 2017. For the next seven years, every New Years, she wakes up in a different year. However, inside she may be 20, 21, 23, 24, etc, but on the outside she changes. She dates, she marries, she knows what to invest in so she doesn't have to work.

With her mom and a mysterious guy named Kenzie there to help her through it, Oona survives these jumps between years.

I love a good time traveling book, however, Oona fell short with me. Perhaps it's because I felt even as she kept getting older on the inside, she was still an immature 19 year old. Perhaps it was because I was frustrated that Oona could never leave a well written letter to herself to explain what happened in the previous years. I feel like a well explained synopsis of the year would save Oona a lot of trouble. The time jumps were done well but the explanation as to what she was jumping into fell very flat.
